The problem
Too much of the day goes into moving data
In most treasury and finance teams, the first hour of the day is spent collecting data. Log in to each bank portal, download the statements, reformat them, paste them into the workbook, refresh the report, and send the numbers on to whoever needs them. Then do it again tomorrow.
Bank APIs promise to fix this, but an API is not an app you can install and start using. Every bank has its own formats and access routes, many still deliver statement files over SFTP, and connecting them to Excel, Power BI or a TMS takes development work that most finance teams do not have capacity for.
The result is manual work, delays and a real risk of errors, in exactly the data every other treasury process depends on.
How NineAnts does it
How NineAnts automates your financial data
Connect every source once. Let automation flows do the collecting, cleaning and checking. Deliver the result to the tools your team already uses.
Connect banks, PSPs, ERP and TMS
NineAnts connects directly to your banks and payment service providers. Where a bank offers an API, data arrives in real time or close to it. For some banks, such as ABN AMRO, connectivity through the bank's premium API is available out of the box. Banks that deliver statement files are collected over encrypted SFTP, in the CAMT and MT940 formats.
Prebuilt ERP and accounting connectors bring in the internal side, and TMS platforms connect through SFTP or file exchange. New connections are added quickly through the prebuilt connectors, and everything is normalised into one format.
Automation flows on your schedule
Automation flows run different operations on your data at the times you choose. A typical setup: every day at 07:00, NineAnts syncs all bank accounts, applies your categorisation rules and refreshes your Power BI reports, before the team logs in.
You configure the flows once. After that, the data work happens without anyone pressing a button.
Smart notifications that do the checking
The self-service notification engine lets you define which notifications should be sent, for which events, and to which recipients. When a payment comes in, a balance crosses a limit or something else in your data needs attention, the right people hear about it without checking.
Deliver data where your team works
NineAnts is API-based. Generate a personal API key in NineAnts and load your data wherever you need it: Excel and Power BI through Power Query, your TMS, or your own scripts and systems. Your tools do not change; the data underneath them does.
Each key is shown only once, can be given an expiry date and can be revoked at any time. NineAnts stores only a hash of the key, never the key itself.
Built to connect, not replace
NineAnts sits on top of your existing TMS, ERP and banking landscape. It collects and cleans the data and sends it back to the systems you already use.
A foundation for AI
Clean, automated data is also what cash flow forecasting and the Treasury AI Agent are built on. Most clients start with data automation and add forecasting later.

Frequently asked questions
Straight answers to the questions treasurers ask us
What is treasury data automation?
Treasury data automation replaces manual collection of bank and ERP data with scheduled data flows. Instead of downloading statements from each bank portal and pasting them into spreadsheets, a platform connects to the banks directly, cleans and categorises the data, and delivers it to the tools the team uses. NineAnts does this through bank APIs, SFTP, PSP feeds and ERP connectors.
How do I automate bank statement downloads?
Connect each bank to a platform that collects the data for you. NineAnts uses the bank's API where one is available and collects statement files over encrypted SFTP where the bank delivers files, in the CAMT and MT940 formats. An automation flow then runs on your schedule, for example every morning at 07:00, so nobody has to log in to bank portals.
Which banks and systems can NineAnts connect to?
NineAnts connects to banks through APIs and through SFTP statement files in the CAMT and MT940 formats. For some banks, such as ABN AMRO, premium API connectivity is available out of the box. It also connects to payment service providers, to ERP and accounting systems through prebuilt connectors, and to TMS platforms through SFTP or file exchange.
Do I need developers to use bank APIs?
Not with NineAnts. An API is not an app you can simply install, and building the integration yourself takes development capacity. NineAnts provides the connections, stores the data securely and delivers it to Excel, Power BI or other systems, so your team can use bank data without building integrations. For API access, the account holder first approves data sharing with the bank.
Can NineAnts send payment notifications?
Yes. The self-service notification engine lets you define which notifications are sent, for which events, and to which recipients. That way, the right people hear about a payment or a balance change as soon as it happens, instead of someone checking the bank data by hand every day.
What does data automation with NineAnts cost?
Data automation is included in every NineAnts plan. Starter costs €4,000 per year and covers up to 3 API or SFTP integrations and 2 users. Professional costs €12,000 per year for up to 10 integrations and 8 users. Enterprise starts from €24,000 per year for up to 20 integrations and 20 users, and adds forecasting and the Treasury AI Agent.
